PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Positive sentences (Olumlu cümleler)
Present Perfect Tense’de olumlu cümle özneyle başlar. Ardından bu tense’in yardımcı fiilleri olan have veya has gelir. Yardımcı fiilden sonra fiilin 3. hali (past participle) kullanılır. Nesne ve zaman ifadesi onları takip edebilir.
Aşağıdaki tabloda da görüldüğü gibi şahıs zamirleri I, you, we ve they’den sonra have, he, she ve it şahıs zamirlerinden sonraysa has yardımcı fiilleri kullanılır.

2. Yakın geçmişte olan ve etkilerini veya sonuçlarını içinde bulunduğumuz anda görebildiğimiz durumları ifade ederken de Present Perfect Tense kullanırız. Bir başka deyişle konuşma anında ya da konuşma anından hemen önce gerçekleşmiş olayları Present Perfect Tense’le ifade ederiz.
- I have lost my car keys. (They are still missing so I can’t drive my car.)

- She has fallen off the ladder. Her head is bleeding.

3. Henüz bitmemiş bir zaman diliminde olan olayları ifade ederken Present Perfect Tense kullanılır. (today, this morning, this week, this month, this year, this century vb.)
- We have taken two exams this week.

Bu cümleden anladığımız iki tane sınav olduğumuz ama sınavları olduğumuz (içinde bulunduğumuz) haftanın henüz bitmediğidir.
- She has had breakfast this morning.
(Bu sabah kahvaltı yaptı.)
Kahvaltı yapan kişi kahvaltısını örneğin sabah 8.00’de yaptıysa, sabah saat 10.00’da eylemi bu cümleyle (Present Perfect Tense’le) ifade edebilir. Çünkü eylemi gerçekleştirdiği zaman (sabah) henüz bitmemiştir.

Ever kelime türü olarak zarftır. Cevabı evet / hayır türünden sorularda kullanıldığında “doğduğun andan şu ana kadar” ya da “hayatın boyunca hiç” anlamlarına gelir. Ever olumlu cümlelerde superlative adjective ile sıkça kullanılır. Bu durumdaysa anlamı “şimdiye kadar” olarak yorumlanabilir. Ever olumsuz cümlelerde kullanılmaz.
