Somebody (someone) “biri”, “birisi” anlamlarına gelen ve insanlar için kullanılan bir belgisiz zamirdir. Yukarıda da görüldüğü gibi somebody ve someone eş anlamlıdır. Olumlu cümlelerde cümlenin öznesi veya nesnesi olarak kullanılır. Özne olarak kullanıldığında ardından tekil fiil gelir.
- I fell over while I was crossing the street the other day. Luckily, somebody came to help me.
