FUTURE TENSES in TIME CLAUSES

 

Gelecekte gerçekleşecek iki eylemi ifade ederken zaman bağlaçları olarak adlandırdığımız bağlaçları kullanarak iki cümleyi bir araya getirebiliriz. Bu tür cümleler time clause olarak adlandırılır. Time clause’lar gelecekte yapılacak ya da gerçekleşecek iki olay arasındaki zaman ilişkisini ortaya koymamıza imkân verir. Aşağıdaki tabloda gördüğünüz zaman bağlaçları vasıtasıyla meydana geleceğini ifade ettiğimiz iki olaydan hangisinin önce hangisinin sonra gerçekleşeceğini anlayabiliriz.

Aşağıdaki cümleleri inceleyiniz.

 

- My daughter will call me as soon as she arrives home.

(Kızım eve varır varmaz beni arayacak.)

 

- We will leave home as soon as it stops raining.

(Yağmur diner dinmez evden ayrılacağız.)

 

- I’ll tell Martha the news when I see her.

(Martha’yı görünce haberi ona söyleyeceğim.)

 

- I will wait for you here until you come back from the bank.

(Bankadan dönene kadar seni burada bekleyeceğim.)

 

- I am going to buy you a pair of sports shoes when I go shopping this afternoon.

- Once they receive the approval, they will begin the construction.

(Yemeği pişirmeye başlamadan önce malzemeleri alacağım.)

 

Görüldüğü gibi her iki olay da gelecekte gerçekleşecek olmasına rağmen bağlaçtan sonra gelen cümle Simple Present Tense’le, ana cümle ise Will veya Going to Future Tense’le ifade ediliyor. Bu durumda iki cümle arasına virgül konur. Ayrıca cümlelerin yerleri değişebilir. Bir başka değişle Will / Going to Future Tense başta, ardından bağlaç ve Simple Present Tense sonda yer alabilir. Bu durumda iki cümle arasına virgül koyulmaz.

(Babam eve gelince birlikte çalışacağız.)

 

- Until my mother comes back from shopping, I will wait at home.

- I will wait at home until my mother comes back from shopping.

 (Annem alışverişten dönene kadar evde bekleyeceğim.)

 

- As soon as we finish our work, we will leave home.

- We will leave home as soon as we finish our work.

 (İşimizi bitirir bitirmez evden ayrılacağız.)

 

- After I receive their email, I will decide what to do.

- I will decide what to do after I receive their email.

 (Epostalarını alınca ne yapacağıma karar vereceğim.)

 

- Before she leaves home, she is going to phone us.

- She is going to phone us before she leaves home.

 (Evden ayrılmadan önce bize telefon edecek.)

 

- When they move to New York, Peter and Paul are going to share a flat.

- Peter and Paul are going to share a flat when they move to New York.

 (Peter ve Paul New York’a taşınınca bir daireyi paylaşacak.)

 

- Once I finish my exams, I will have a well-deserved holiday.

- I will have a well-deserved holiday once I finish my exams.

(Sınavlarım bittiğinde çok hak edilmiş bir tatil yapacağım.)

 

- Once I receive the package, I will let you know.

- I will let you know once I receive the package.

(Paketi alınca size haber vereceğim.)

 

 

- When the movie ends, I'm going to bed. (correct)

- When the movie will end, I'm going to bed. (incorrect)

 

- I'll feel more relaxed after I finish my project. (correct)

- I'll feel more relaxed after I will finish my project. (incorrect)

 

- I'll come home when I finish work. (correct)

- I’ll come home when I will finish work. (incorrect)

 

 

 Eğer, gelecekte bir eylemi tamamladıktan sonra diğerini yapacağımızı vurgulamak istiyorsak, yan cümlede Simple Present Tense yerine Present Perfect Tense de kullanabiliriz.

 

When   After   Before               Present Perfect,   Simple (Will) future / Going to Future   As soon as   Until   Once

(Kursu bitirince sertifika alacaksınız.)

 

- She will wait for me outside the supermarket until I have finished shopping.

(Ben alışverişi bitirene kadar süpermarketin dışında beni bekleyecek.)

 

Aşağıdaki cümleleri inceleyiniz.

 

- I will come tomorrow unless I have to look after the children.

- Even if Barcelona lose tomorrow, they will still be champions.

- You must wait here until your father comes.

- They are coming after they have had dinner.

- We won't be able to go out if it rains.

- It will be nice to see Peter when he gets home.

 

Gelecekte eş zamanlı gerçekleşecek eylemleri ifade ederken Will Future Tense ve Present Continuous Tense with a future meaning (gelecek anlamlı şimdiki zaman) kullanılır. Bu iki tense while bağlacıyla bağlanır.

 

Subject  will  V1  object  while  subject  am / is / are  Ving  object
